Quincy Main Street, in collaboration with the Quincy Music Theatre, is proud to present Quincy’s Second Annual History, Mystery, and Ghost Tour of the Historic Western Cemetery, Saturday, October 25 and Sunday, October 26. There are two tours each day beginning at 4:30pm and 6:00pm.
This immersive experience will guide audiences through the haunting history of our town, with tales of intrigue, mystery, and local legends. Guides will lead guests through the cemetery, where they will encounter the ghosts of Quincy’s past—telling stories of love, loss, triumph, and tragedy.
The Western Cemetery is a virtual early Florida political graveyard containing the graves of Patrick Henry’s grandson; Territorial politicians who signed the original Florida Constitution and later the articles of secession; two chief justices of the Florida Supreme Court and an Attorney General; Florida Legislators and Senators; a U.S. Congressman; and the unmarked grave of the controversial Governor A.K. Allison. Come hear some of these Spirits tell their stories along with the stories other early pioneers and interesting characters.
Tours begin at the Western Cemetery, 631 W Sharon Street, Quincy, FL. Tickets may be purchased on the QMT website, at the QMT Box Office, or at the check-in table at the cemetery for $13.00 plus a $2.00 processing fee. Limited seating will be provided at intervals along the tour route.
Note: The Saturday 6:00pm tour is SOLD OUT.
